On the morning of February 14th, as the plane landed on the runway of Hefei Xinqiao Airport, the "Little black" robot engineer team of Botsing Technology's African sea trip came to a successful end, and told the "Little black" story of the Belt and Road.
Turn the clock back to January 17th 2022, Botsing Technology won the bid for 14 trackless guide all-position crawling welding robot collection project! The project is led by China 15 Metallurgical Construction Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as China 15 MCC), which is mainly used to help customers implement infrastructure projects in the overseas "Belt and Road" market.
China 15 MCC is a large state-owned construction enterprise with special general contracting qualification, and belongs to China Nonferrous Mining Group Co., LTD., which is directly managed by the SASAC of The State Council. In recent years, China 15 MCC closely follows the national "Belt and Road" initiative, and has undertaken more than 200 construction tasks in more than 30 overseas countries, and Africa is one of the strategic regions for China 15 MCC's overseas development.
In April 2022, Botsing Technology's first batch of trackless all-position crawling welding robots completed domestic delivery with China 15 MCC.
In May 2022, the "Little black" robot began packing and sending to Africa.
On October 23rd 2022, the team of Botsing technology engineers left for Congo (DRC) for on-site service support.
Congo (DRC), located in central Africa, the project is located in Katanga province, is a typical savanna climate, in October Congo (DRC) high temperature and rain.
On October 28th 2022, the engineering team of Botsing Technology arrived at the project site, started the project's on-site service work, and immediately began to organize the first technical presentation meeting of the robot application project. In just 2 days, the robot successfully completed the first welding and debugging on the land of Africa. The "Xiaoblack" robot has a good adaptability and has overcome the bad weather conditions of high temperature and humidity. It's a good start for the project.
African project site welding automation is low, the technical level of foreign welders on site is limited, and they feel mysterious and curious about the "novel" trackless all-position crawling welding robot. "Little black" operation is simple, touch screen button combined with remote control, after about 10 days of training by Botsing technology engineers, the construction personnel trained on the site can skillfully operate "Little black" welding, and the horizontal and vertical welding test plate of 10mm and 16mm specifications all reach the X-ray non-destructive testing qualified. In the hot sun with "little black" welding a perfect transverse weld, vertical weld, so that they for a day of hard work more fun and harvest.

At the end of December 2022, after completing the application of the robot in the storage tank of the mining water supply pumping station, the engineer team of Botsing Technology got the news that the concentrated sulfuric acid storage tank material is expected to arrive at the site in early January 2023. January 21 is the most important Chinese New Year's Eve of the year, with deep yearning for the family, the engineers finally decided to extend the business trip time. Give up returning to China for the New Year and continue to support the application of robots in concentrated sulfuric acid storage tanks.
In the face of frequent rain showers in the rainy season, high on-site wind speed and convenient construction, the engineer team developed temporary rain prevention measures, rapid equipment storage schemes, reliable wind protection devices and convenient transfer methods. The robot was applied in the mining water supply pumping station installed by the "forward installation method".
At the end of January, only the top plate of the concentrated sulfuric acid tank remained unwelded. The entire roof has been formed into a whole, after discussion with the project department, it is agreed that under the reasonable arrangement of welding sequence, the deformation can be controlled, and it is decided that the anti-deformation horse plate is not added first, and the roof symmetrical welding is adopted. At the same time, the roof butt weld has the conditions for one person to operate multiple machines. Successfully completed the one-man two-machine welding operation and handed over the qualified answer sheet for the engineering application of the trackless all-position crawling welding robot on the land of Africa!

The "Little Black" Africa sea, has been nearly half a year, in the project site, "Little black" simple and easy to learn, convenient transfer, high temperature resistance "character", trackless guide, laser precision tracking, multi-sensor fusion "quality", have been fully played, making the overall welding efficiency of the project reached 3 to 4 times that of manual welding. It greatly reduces the problems of difficult recruitment, low efficiency and high cost of foreign projects. Botsing technology engineers get along with local workers and "little black" day and night at the project site, knowing difficulties and facing them head-on, and have also won high recognition from customers.
