Future Heavy Equipment No.27 - Intelligent Welding: Reflections on the Application of Intelligent Construction Technology in Oil and Gas Engineering

On April 23, 2024, the theme forum of Botsing Technology's "Future Heavy Equipment Phase 27 - Intelligent Welding: Reflections on the Application of Intelligent Construction Technology in Oil and Gas Engineering" was successfully concluded. The forum was hosted by the Botsing Science and Technology Technical Committee, co-organized by the Anhui Scientists and Entrepreneurs Association and Hefei Zhongguancun Collaborative Industrial Development Co., Ltd., aiming to create an industry exchange and sharing platform for artificial intelligence and technological innovation, artificial intelligence and intelligent construction.

    This forum once again invited Zhang Chengjie, Minister of CNPC (Xinjiang) Oil Construction Company, Wang Jing, Executive Vice President of CNPC (Xinjiang) Oil Construction Company, Ding Yong, Director of the Information Department, and Professor Ding Bin of the University of Science and Technology of China to attend the forum.


Minister Zhang Chengjie from the development process of automatic welding technology in Xinjiang since 1995, from the gradual optimization and improvement of the welding process, from the earliest equipment that can only be imported from abroad to today's domestic substitution, the development to the present, with intelligent, digital, green high-end equipment to lead the intelligent construction, pointed out that its essence is the optimization and reconstruction of productivity and production relations. Subsequently, from the construction scenarios of oil and gas engineering, such as long-distance pipelines, storage tank production and safety, LNG storage tank construction and other scenarios, the requirements of intelligent welding were analyzed in simple terms. From the perspective of customers, he focused on sharing some thoughts on the R&D and design of oil and gas engineering intelligent welding robots, which provided ideas and broadened horizons for the participants.

In the exchange session of the forum, everyone spoke and interacted with each other, from the development direction of intelligent welding technology of oil and gas pipelines to the prospect of automated welding, and Minister Zhang answered and communicated one by one. The two sides hope to continue in-depth cooperation in specific engineering projects in the future, and jointly push the level of automated welding in the field of oil, gas and chemical industry to a new level.
